Ben, you filled our hearts with joy,

If you would have lived, you would have been Daddy's little boy.

Mummy loves you lots, Daddy does too.

Grans, Grandads, Aunties, Uncles and very Special Friends all love you.

We wish we could cuddle you and give you a kiss.

These are just some of the things we really miss

It's hard at night, when we should be laying you down to sleep,

Mummy and Daddy still have a little weep.

You are in our thoughts both night and day

We would have been here for you, come what may,

It's just never easy moving on,

When all we ever wanted was a daughter or a son - as beautiful as you Ben.

We would have watched rugby and grand prix too,

Mummy would have baked a cake especially for you,

You lay in your crib fast asleep,

Your angelic face is locked in our hearts to keep.

We still laugh, and we still cry,

When we want to see your face we just look up to the sky,

The sun shines brightly and is ever so high,

Now whenever I see it I give a little sigh.

It's hard to understand why you had to leave us so soon,

To be up in heaven, near the sun and the moon.

We know God needs pure angels for his work to do,

He needed an extra special one, so that's why he took you.

We know your Great Grandad is looking after you Ben

And that one day we will all be together again.
